Teamsters, tech firms fuming over self-driving truck invoice
A California invoice that may require human drivers in robotic vehicles will pressure Democratic lawmakers to decide on between their labor allies and Silicon Valley over easy methods to regulate the rising self-driving automobile business. Tech firms argue the invoice would hinder the Division of Motor Automobiles’ ongoing efforts to create street guidelines for the massive rigs and vehicles of the longer term.
